If you're trying to download the Spellcraft installer and nothing happens, your browser may be blocking the download.
Most browsers have settings to keep your computer save from downloading anything suspicious. This doesn't mean that the Spellcraft files are unreliable; sometimes, a browser might accidentally block completely safe files.
Below you will find steps to (temporarily) lift that block for the most common browsers.
Google Chrome
Microsoft Edge
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
To allow the Spellcraft Installer to download, we'll have to update the protection settings.
- To start, copy and paste the following in your chrome browser bar: (1)
chrome://settings/security
this will get you to the following (2) "Privacy and security" page.
- On this page you'll see several protection settings, like Enhanced Protection, Standard Protection, and No Protection.
- Select the circle with (3) No Protection. Doing so will display a pop-up option asking you to confirm your action. Click on Turn Off.
- You can now download the Spellcraft installer file without being blocked. Once the download is successful we suggest to turn the security setting back to it's original setting.
Microsoft Edge
Like Chrome, Microsoft Edge also has a setting to keep your computer safe from downloading anything suspicious, it's called "Smartscreen". Here are the steps to temporarily disable this setting so you can download Spellcraft.
- To start, copy and paste the following in your Microsoft Edge browser bar:
edge://settings/privacy
- Scroll down to the section Security
- Toggle off Microsoft Defender SmartScreen
- You can now download the Spellcraft installer file without being blocked. Once the download is successful we suggest to turn the security setting back to it's original setting.
Mozilla Firefox
Firefox will block the page from loading and display a Deceptive Site warning for phishing sites, Reported Unwanted Software Page for unwanted software sites and Reported Attack Page for malware sites.
If you download malware or other software that is potentially unwanted or uncommon, Firefox displays a message about the file in the Downloads panel. To ignore the warning and download such a file, right-click on it in the Downloads panel and select Allow Download.
